What is subsidized training for companies?
.
Training helps companies increase their competitiveness and productivity, developing the skills and qualifications of their employees.
For this, they have financial aid that is made effective through discounts on Social Security contributions.
.
The company can decide what training it needs, how and when it does it and organize it either by itself, or by entrusting the organization to an external entity.
.
It includes the Individual Training Permits (PIF) that the company authorizes a worker to study with official accreditation, including degrees and certificates of professionalism. .
.
This training is free training for workers and costs € 0 to companies, since the amount of the training action is deductible in Social Security contributions.
.
Requirements for companies:
.
Have workers on staff in the General Regime.
Be up to date with your payments to the Treasury or Social Security.
Companies have an annual credit to spend on training their staff. They may apply a discount for the amount of the courses they have taken with subsidized training, up to this amount at most.
.
Do all companies have credit to carry out subsidized training?
.
All companies have the right to carry out subsidized training for their workers, for which they have an annual credit. The credit available for each company will vary depending on the contributions that it has made during the previous year, relative to the contingency for professional training and the volume of staff that it had.
.
SMEs with up to 5 workers and newly opened companies can also access training, for which they will have a credit of at least € 420. This amount, set by the government, has been set in order to guarantee access to training for small business workers.
.
Next we will see the amount that corresponds to each company, to apply in training actions, according to its staff:
.
1 to 5 workers: they have a minimum amount of € 420.
6 to 9 workers: 100% of the quoted amount.
10 to 49 workers: 75% of the quoted amount.
50 to 249 workers: 60% of the quoted amount.
250 workers onwards: 50% of the quoted amount
The General State Budget Law for each fiscal year establishes the minimum training credit.
